JLL Debt Management is an application designed specifically for commercial real estate investors to manage debt across multiple properties. The application underwent a complete redesign to create a marketable and usable product. The initial interface presented a confusing nested list view of nodes, making it extremely challenging for people to capture the big picture and drill into the details.

The new redesign brings everything to the forefront, presenting the debt structure in a clear and organized manner. I designed the application into three columns, with the first column serving as the main overview and the second column providing detailed information. The third column includes recent updates, actionable items, and scheduled covenants, allowing users to quickly get up to speed and address requirements.

With this new design, analysts can gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire debt structure and the requirements associated with it at a glance. The streamlined interface and intuitive navigation make it easier for users to manage their debt effectively and make informed decisions.

Some of the challenges include comprehending the intricacies of debt financing, identifying the target audience, determining the ideal information to surface, and pinpointing actionable steps. Fortunately, I hold a Finance degree. Another challenge is integrating this application into Salesforce's somewhat clunky user interface. Developing numerous custom UI components was essential to create an engaging and user-friendly experience.
