BridgeGood UX Academy

Background

In the summer of 2025, I designed and taught Business Value of UX Design at BridgeGood, a UX summer boot camp in Oakland, for recently graduated high-school students.

Concept Development

Unlike my other projects, this work focused on curriculum design rather than product delivery. The challenge was translating finance, strategy, and UX concepts into an accessible framework for early-career learners. The course explored how products originate, how design decisions are made, and how small UX improvements can drive measurable gains in value.

The curriculum drew from my experience in UX consulting, product launches, and formal training in finance, as well as material from Talking to the Machine, a book concept I began illustrating and writing to introduce UX thinking to younger audiences. Teaching this course reinforced the value of helping designers articulate business impact-and reminded me how much I enjoy teaching, which I plan to continue pursuing.
